Disjunction
Disjunction is a sound and drawing project that
explores the physical experience of working within a confined environment,
drawing from the artist’s personal experience as a warehouse worker.
Using gut sounds and electrical signals from right shoulder muscles,
the artist created two tracks that contrast the intensity of
9-to-5 labor with the day she was off-work.
Afterwards, she visualized the physical sensations of her body
listening to the two polarizing soundtracks.
By amplifying the body’s internal signals, the artist offers solace
to the exploited working class and suggests taking time to listen to our bodies.
Produced as part of the Breaking Bread’s open call exhibition at Bradwolff Projects (Amsterdam), 2026
